Journal History

The ALCONPAT Journal (Revista Alconpat, RA) was launched for the first time, as a project, during CONPAT 2003 held in Telchac, Yucatán, Mexico. It was an ambitious project that required several years of effort. It was until September 2009 during CONPAT 2009 held in Valparaíso, Chile when he appeared for the second time at the superior council, being approved for its beginning during the following year. The formation of the Editorial Committee, the magazine's portal and various administrative and technical procedures allowed RA to see the light for the first time on December 31, 2010 with the launch of Volume 1 Number 1 of the year 2011. The journal was inaugurated from now, strict quality parameters that include strict peer review and the composition of a high-level founding editorial committee with seven associate editors, an executive editor and a senior editor.

In 2015, during the publication of volume 5, RA was accepted into the index of Scientific and Technological Jorinal of CONACYT, becoming this year a catapult to propel RA to greater standards and to belong to prestigious indices, migrating to the OJS platform, publishing in Spanish, Portuguese and English, and DOI number, among others.

During CONPAT 2015 in Lisbon, the editorial committee, due to the increase in RA commitments and responsibilities, incorporates three new associate editors and one of the new language editors. RA is also a magazine of excellence in South America where it belongs to the indexes of magazines such as CNPq in Brazil and CONICIT in Argentina.
